I’ll give an honorable mention to Terraria–largely because I had to explain it to someone recently and it was more difficult than I anticipated.

Yeah, you can just say “2D Minecraft,” but it’s more than that. It’s almost an RPG in terms of advancements and equipment development, and it’s very combat oriented. But it’s not really a sidescroller or a metroidvania type, because the digging and building plays a huge part.

Less genre defining, and more living in the liminal space between a lot of other genres.

Yeah, it would be fun to see some of the smaller folk represented in particular. Dwarven Paladin, or maybe a Halfling Bard.

The fact that everyone has different characters that they love and/or hate suggests that the devs did a pretty good job.

The writing isn’t stellar, but there’s a wide range of character types, and one person’s favorite is another’s leaat. For me, Lae’zel and Astarion are insufferable (Lae’zel a little less so, but still annoying). But those are favorites of other people, so they’re presumably not objectively bad, it’s just a matter of taste.

My only wish is that there were one or two more, or at least that the others were introduced earlier in the game (hell no, I’m not changing my entire party dynamic in Act 3).

I was mainly curious as to whether this was mostly a fun exercise, or if there were a practical advantage to having the calendar printed in 3D. Cool either way.

This looks great! I love OpenSCAD, and this is a pretty feature-rich usage.

Are you planning to print it for regular use as a calendar, or is there another use case you had in mind?

Haste isn’t a great spell, even twinned by a sorcerer.

The moment the caster loses concentration, the recipients lose an entire turn. Even if the fight lasts a few turns and you manage to keep concentration, you’re sacrificing a lot of action economy for that extra action. And if you do lose concentration, you’re likely in a net negative for action economy.

At higher difficulties, it’s even worse. The extra action only grants at most one attack (the extra action ignores the Extra Attack feature). And enemies are smart enough to do everything they can to pile damage on your caster until it drops.

It’s not a bad spell, but it’s not the gamechanger lots of people seem to think it is. Especially with items like haste potions and haste spore grenades, which can’t be interrupted (though still need to be timed well).

Absolutely. Making sure I have a huge life insurance policy, but getting it far ahead enough to avoid questions of fraud would be worth it.

Pretty much any build using Tavern Brawler and throwing stuff will be viable. And as long as sneak attack procs on thrown finesse weapons, you’d be good to go. A bit less damage than the standard barb build, but you’d have a ton of extra utility to make up for it.

The crux of this build would be finding the best medium armor that doesn’t impose disadvantage on stealth, or else mitigating that otherwise (taking Lightfoot Halfling as your race, for example). And collecting all the daggers.

Got a gaming laptop that functions for everything. Not as powerful as a dedicated tower, but being somewhat portable is worth it for me.

Probably Root, and Once Upon a Time. I love both games, and I think it’s at least partly the aesthetic.

Minutes 1-2: Grab a hoodie, my most comfortable walking shoes, my passports, and any extra cash. Turn on my shower, grab my cordless trimmer, set my phone on the sink, lock the bathroom door behind me. Lock the doors, leave through the garage. Grab my small adjustable wrench on the way out.

Minutes 3-5: my neighborhood lies along a set of railroad tracks that are heavily obscured by brush. Start walking. By the time they arrive at my house, I’m a good ways down the tracks and leaving my neighborhood.

Minutes 6-10: the agents have entered and found that I’m not in the shower. I’m further down the tracks and out of my neighborhood.

Minutes 11-30: I make my way to a friend’s house, mainly following the tracks. When I get there, tell them I have an emergency and can I borrow their car. The agents are searching.

Minutes 31-60: I start driving. I stop in a parking lot at a factory near my office. I look for a car that was backed into its spot and use my wrench to steal the license plate–shift change was two hours ago, so I have 6 hours before they notice. I put the other plate on my vehicle. The agents are interrogating my friend, but the border is only 1.5 hours away. I have family there.

Minutes 61-150: As I drive, I use my cordless trimmer to shave my hair and beard. About half way, I stop at a Walmart and pick up a burner phone. I dial my family as I drive. We make a plan.

Minutes 151-180: I park at Sam’s Club. My parents are already on their way back to the car with some groceries. I meet them at their car and get in the back seat. As we pull away, I crouch down and climb into the trunk. We head for the border.

Minutes 181-200: we arrive at customs, but my parents have a fast pass. They cross the border casually all the time. They don’t check the trunk. We’re waved through.

Minutes 200-525600: I contact my home country’s law enforcement. They put me in the witness protection program. I have a new identity and life. The agents search in vain.

Minutes 525601-20000000: I’m content in my new life. I work, I pursue simple hobbies, I avoid social media. Eventually age catches up with me and I decide to move into an assisted living facility. My mind isn’t as sharp as it once was. One of the workers in the cafeteria asks my name, and I give a name I haven’t heard in 40 years. The cafeteria worker raises their serving spoon. It’s not a spoon, it’s a gun. They’re the agent.

The space? That will be based on how the website is designed (and many web frameworks do this). There might be an extension out there to do it, but I wouldn’t count on it working terribly well.

Your other option is to zoom in until the content fills your screen.

Tav is usually some sort of archer, either Thief/Gloomstalker or Swords Bard. Lots of equipment to boost ranged to-hit rolls, making Sharpshooter ridiculously good.

Shart goes War or Tempest Cleric, single classed.

Karlach is a throwing Berzerker, with Thief mixed in later.

Wyll is a Paladin/Warlock smite machine.

Gale is an Abjuration Wizard, possibly with one level of Tempest Cleric.

The rest hang out at camp.
