Goblins were Chaotic. Lawful was civilized. Your adventurer was probably Lawful.
To see where this comes from you’d have to read Moorcock’s Elric saga.
My dad was born in 1932. If some fat bearded hippie had started talking “rape and whores” around women, my dad would have punched him in the face. If no woman was around, he would have just told the pudgy incel to piss off. That’s the kind of sexism that existed back then among most decent folks.

When I found a stick like that as an eight year old, I shot so many orcs with it.
Is that like a cryocurrency?
I’m getting chills just thinking about it.
Jack Vance, Dying Earth series has similar ideas.

Dude I hate to break it to you but weed is boring. Now, doing Ashtanga Yoga for 90 minutes: that’s a full body high

Or wait for the dictator to die like Salazar in Portugal. But 1) that would really suck and I don’t want to live thru all those oppressive years, and 2) Salazar was actually competent and could achieve beneficial things for his country.

This is why I am only play narrative games any more. Fate variants, Powered-by-the-Apocalypse engine, and so on. For my tastes anymore the rules have to be about how to tell a story around a table.
Hey! I understand this meme!
I’ve watched the Clone Wars animated series a few times.
EDIT: aw crap. I’m lying. Who is the “forgets dice” character in the middle?
In 98, I worked at a small company. In 2003, I worked at a big company at a different city a few states away. I happened to be have a good view of people walking by from the parking lot to the front door from my desk. I recognized a coworker from 98 walk by. I ran out to say hi to make sure it was her. It was.
Other than both businesses being in the same broad category of software development, they had no other relation. And this was the one time she was walking by. It’s not like she was working there like I was. And I came by that job from a totally different path that had nothing to do with our old company. And she was not with that old company either and came to be where she was by another unique and totally circuitous route as I had.
I don’t know what the odds were of that chance meeting but it had to be less than 1 in a million. I mean, that one time she walked by I could have been in the bathroom or at lunch even.
Hey, I remember this website from back in the day. They still around or is this old?
Big Bad Green Enemy
I’m reminded of Deadline an interactive fiction game where you are solving a murder mystery and unless you are in the right place at the right time you will miss some important evidence.
