Music services are almost a necessity to me because of the amount of music I listen to, but it’s also a different animal. They all have mostly the same library, so you won’t typically be subscribing to more than one.
The problem with streaming video services is that most people watch a couple genres, and there’s content in every genre on every streaming platform. I watch a lot of scifi, for example. So I would need to subscribe to Apple TV for Silo and Foundation, Paramount+ for Star Trek, etc…
It sounds like you haven’t used a user friendly Linux distro in the last decade. Mint and Ubuntu will install any proprietary driver you need, but even beyond that most WiFi cards are supported out of the box by the Linux kernel now.

Certainly if media is not available for purchase I have no problem with people pirating it. But also if it’s not available in a reasonably accessible format. For example, I wanted to show my son the original TMNT show. I would have happily bought it on Vudu, Amazon or Play Movies, but it’s only available on iTunes. I have all Android devices and don’t even have a personal Windows device, so I would need to jump through serious hoops to get it working if I bought it.
Yeah it definitely seems like there’s some selection bias in the responses. Maybe we need an anonymous poll.
