The DM came up with the plot hook and the players agreed to play, so the players need to put some effort into finding a reason to go along with the plot hook.

I liked the visibility of votes on kbin, convenient to see if one was getting up or down votes from a variety of users and not just the same people over and over.
Around here they played audio very loudly for about a year and then they all stopped with the audio. Most still play a video, although they seem to mostly be for the convenience or grocery store that the pumps are at.
Drove out of state recently and there were pumps that still played the noise, so I pushed the one button that was well worn and it muted the sound.

When all the characters are murder hobos it isn’t about being selfish, just how they approach the world. If everyone is on the same page, including the DM, that style can be a blast for everyone!
It is only an issue when people aren’t on the same page, then it can result in the things you mentioned.
Starting a fight with an undefeatable opponent does not guarantee a TPK. They could be swatted around a bit, learn a lesson, and move on. They could realize it immediately and handle the situation without violence. They could do lots of things.
You are right that the point is to offer them a chance to fuck around and find out, but that doesn’t always mean TPK.
That is why it is necessary to be on the same page about the expectations for the group.

I had one many years ago because my wife talked me i to it and ‘deleted’ it due to not using it after a couple years because it was showing me other things than just my contacts even back then. It was mostly a way to see my hogh school acquaintences and childhood friends who moved far away were still alive.
The superficial connections were fine, but not engaging like nearby friends. I have one friend who does post there and sometimes forgets to put it elsewhere, but my wife lets me know when he does.

The money they make from advertising is the same whether you show up on time or not. I’m pretty sure reserved seating nets them more concession stand income as people know they have ‘extra’ time to buy something and still get the seat they wanted.
The really frustrating thing back when the ads were first being shoved in was not having a consistent amount of ad time, so guessing the real start time was a pain.
