To add on to this for iOS/macOS/iPadOS if you use safari you can send YouTube to your TV through airplay. Skips all the ads and if you use sponsorblock skips that too, so if you are too lazy to install smart tube this is a setup that works nicely.

I’m not affected since I use freetube and newpipe. This affects people who were actually paying and watching YouTube logged in but not people like me.
What? Do you know how redeeming codes work? You create an account like on steam, origin, gog, xbox, Blizzard, or UPlay and go to activate game and enter in your code.
I don’t know what tangent you are going off about that method being an unreasonable amount of work. What are you even arguing about.
Have you really never redeemed a code ever in your life that you see it as illegal activity and a security risk?
I pointing to your previous claims of illegal activity and making fun of how you’d probably see the sending of a code as illegal.

Minecraft migration service has reached end of life. Redeem Minecraft code 1234-ABCD by June 30, 2024 through Microsoft.
Who said 30 years. It’s just a code sent to email with expiration. And when digital codes are sold what is this supposed legacy system. Did Microsoft suddenly stop selling digital codes?
What’s so hard about login to get code if they didn’t want to do the migration process when that’s something even sites like humble bundle and other online stores offer without offering direct downloads of games or anything like that. Or even send a code to their email with an expiration date after closing the migration process for good. When poorer sites can do it what’s Microsoft’s excuse.
So why not send a code to them before closing it for good so they have an option to redeem versus none at all.
But the alternative is just closing it and now there being no option at all.
Couldn’t they have closed the migration but sent out redemption codes to people’s emails for those who hadn’t migrated?
I only saw the warning the first time it was announced, which I transfered over back then. But then I never heard of it again, so if someone happened to have been busy and missed it the first time it made headlines I could see how they could be caught off guard with how I completely forgot about it until it made headlines for it being discontinued.
If people haven’t transferred would they be accessing it? Not much incentive for people who already transfered to go back to just claim a code, and people who haven’t yet probably aren’t going to be logging in all the time.
Is it that expensive to just keep a database of codes that can be redeemed for people who haven’t migrated yet? Like humble bundle keeping track of what you buy? Or even lemmy with comments linked to users?
This game emulated very well doing 4k/120 during my play through on rpcs3.
I played this through rpcs3 at 4k/120 and was a flawless experience from beginning to end. Artstyle held up well with the cartoony look they went with.
I see YouTube style as the ones that are formulic with the plea to like and subscribe segue to sponsor and the obviously algorithm driven increased lengthen followed by the same tired robotic plea for interaction which is pretty much every big YouTube channel or wannabe big channel.
Doesn’t help that search pushes up those type of channels and shoves smaller channels just uploading content just to share something.
Ubisoft is a good example because they have withheld their games from Steam so plenty of samples to look at to see how they priced games themselves.
I’m pretty lucky not liking most YouTube style content these days, so don’t consume too much of it like I used to. Lot of the creators feel like AI with the same phrase of if you are new to the channel like and subscribe and ring the notification bell…blah blah blah. And then drag out info that can be said in a minute into a 10 minute long ramble for the algorithm.
YouTube these days is more for music or checking out a part of a game I’m stuck on these days from a creator with like 1 sub putting up a 10 second long clip that gets straight to the point. Those guys are the heroes over the 5+ minute long uploads of the same content in comparison that has you have to dig into the comments to find where to skip to.
