Very cool! This sort of tech will only really feel right if you’re waking straight ahead at a steady pace though. As soon as you change directions or otherwise accelerate it won’t feel right because you don’t have to deal with any of the momentum that you normally do.

I like the idea of it being used on inanimate objects for other purposes though. Could this be coupled with the volume to move some props in a way to really sell paralax or movement when viewed in camera? The SFX uses are probably many.

I’m a fan of just using my earbuds inside a good pair of ear muffs; better noise reduction that way, and sometimes you want the muffs off but can still listen to whatever.

You could use it as a kickass home gym where you can dial up or down gravity depending on what you’re doing.

Smuggling would be a whole lot easier if you went that route. Transporting all sorts of things really; you only need to get yourself to the new location.

Could do some very amazing magic tricks since you can disappear (and swap props or outfits or whatever).

With gravity turned down you could presumably build up some momentum and launch yourself places. Not sure how you’d stick the landing unless you can control which way is “up” as you teleport to the room.

Can’t you transfer a game to other people on Steam? They treat it like a physical item where after giving it away you loose access IIRC.

Yeah, they should have an offer of employment I’d think? Guess it depends on the job though as I haven’t always had that, but you bet I’d be checking that first paystub so it’s weird OP went so long without noticing.

I think part of the problem is that we refer to these as “ad blockers” so AdBlock is the first one people find when they look.

I thought the Hobbit was meant to be written by Bilbo so a modern narrator explains it.

I knew there were things like explosives and fireworks, but unless guns are a common use, calling black powder “gunpowder” is weird so I wouldn’t expect middle earth to have that word.

Are there guns in LOTR? How would Bilbo know the smell of gunpowder or call it as such?

So many small businesses have a Facebook page and no website which is quite frustrating too. I just want to see your hours, why did I need to sign up to another website to do that?

Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel is pretty impressive the amount of work that must’ve gone into it.

The face morphing at the end of Black and White by Michael Jackson was cutting edge special effects at the time and it holds up well today (better than the rap verse breakdown in the song itself…)
