True. I do think this is a little bigger than “high school drama.” You go around farting all over the school and you’re gonna be seen by your peers as pretty gross.

Can’t speak to ADHD in particular and don’t want to discount the difficulty it adds, but one of the biggest hills I always have to get over is not judging my own thoughts. I agree that we shouldn’t devalue it, and that was my initial word choice. That wasn’t the intent behind the choice, but I get it. I’m not sure “essential” is a good descriptor either. It is essential, but that’s not the defining quality we’re after.

The key metric is always: how many people would have to be in on it and never say anything. The ones that are hundreds or thousands of people are obvious nonsense. If it’s just a handful of people, it’s perfectly plausible.
