I lived in NYC for a few years and never went to see the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, or really any of the iconic touristy things.
Why? No idea. Never seemed interesting to me.

I don’t know why this makes sense, but I only use a bread knife on regular bread. When I make a sourdough bread, I find it easier to slice with my regular chefs knife.

Interesting, my first thought was similar but different.

Now I have to go poke around the Internet trying to understand the history of both, which came first, and speculate about which made a bigger impact on our species.

Yep, it was fire. By like a lot. Both have pretty big ranges, but fire seems to be in the hundreds of thousands of years ago range, and clothing seems to be in the dozens of thousands of years.
Demo is used as an abbreviation for both demonstration and demolition. Usually it’s pretty obvious which one is intended, but every time I hear someone say “demo” I try to imagine what kind of chaos would result if the wrong usage was assumed.

If I were trying to distinguish that green from a more common green, “bold” would not be the word I choose.

My thought as well. If he can buy it used and sell it for pretty close to what he paid, this might just be a more complicated yet flexible way of renting a boat.
