    Is there a reason you use uncommon terms to refer to family members?

    Eg “wife’s son” vs “stepson”?

    Or was the kid your offspring and you just wanted to bait that loser?

      It was 100% trolling. I’m not married and neither my partner nor myself have any children.

        To be fair, I don’t think “wife’s son” is all that weird to begin with. I’d think it just means you aren’t close with your girlfriend’s kids yet.

        [edit] ‘wife’, married, right. I just realized. Still, I don’t think it’s that weird.

          I’ve always hated the term stepson or stepdaughter. I find it more impersonal than what they posted. There have always been so many negative connotations to step children
