I think that part was a joke
“For real though” structured like that usually implies that the first part was a joke (or not ‘real’), but they also want to make a serious statement. Similar to “in all seriousness”
It was a joke. I am allergic to cats, it’s true, but seeing the photos doesn’t affect anything :'D
For real I decided to temporarily block the cat community because it was filling all my feed
