Anything that can get my adrenaline pumping, which generally only happens with multiplayer games when I am facing a human opponent. Dark Souls is a great example for me, here, because the single player gives me that rush for a while but eventually I’m able to breeze through every boss and enemy in the game with minimal effort, so going into invasions and getting sweaty against a host and his 2 OP phantoms is the only way to get that rush again, because, generally speaking, other players can think so no two opponents are really ever the same.

I actually kinda wonder now what the flow state even feels like to others who suggest things like strategy games or puzzle games. To me, it’s like that fucking hyper focus the protag has in the movie Wanted. Crazy Lazer focus on whatever action is going on, and it’s just like… Automatic. No thoughts. Just actions. So I’m really curious how it might manifest in something slower paced like Civilization and what not. Or even how some folks can enter that state via meditation. That sounds awesome and I wish I could trigger it with something else.

Terraria: Thriving in 2024.

Starbound: Dead, with its bones eroded to dust.

Honestly had high hopes for Starbound. “It’s like Terraria, but more!” And then Terraria kept gaining content while Starbound basically never got beyond what it had when it launched.

At this point, I want to just mod the sci-fi stuff and world hopping into Terraria.

I’ve lived by the sword for 15 years. Quiet neighbor, no complaints.

I can literally say the same about Steam with how much shovelware it contains vs how many games that aren’t garbage. I’ve found many enjoyable games on GamePass just as I have with Steam. Sucks that you haven’t, I guess. 🤷🏻‍♂️

This is what I said. I never implied they had all games. Only that it’s cheaper in the long run to subscribe and get access to the new games on GamePass than paying full price for each one.

I have never played the game, but I have like 3 or 4 tracks from the sound track randomly liked on Spotify because they came up on the Smart Shuffle thing. Full Speed Ahead is my favorite. That shit slaps.

I had suggested the GamePass style subscription thing for Steam years ago. This is one thing someone else actually does that Steam does not. I’ll just use both. 1. Instance blocking doesn’t actually block individual users from that instance.

2. If they block YOU, you can still see THEM. They just don’t see YOU. Blocking doesn’t work both ways unless you both block each other.

Well, whatever was going on they fixed in the update. Haven’t ran into a human capable of withstanding a single headshot since patching. Spawns are still fucked tho 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m using a .308 sniper rifle I found hella early on. This ain’t a low tier weapon and shouldn’t be dropping off at 300m or less to make lightly armored targets take multiple headshots to finish.

You’re right that it feels in line with previous games. But that’s not necessarily good. You’d think after 18 years they would have made it better. I haven’t even encountered the military or exo skeletons yet. It’s just the bandits with the black hooded jackets seem to have insane armor.

Repair costs are fucking insane, fr.

But I also think the humans can be too tanky. It shouldn’t take half a mag into someone’s head to kill them. And with that headshot crunch sound, there’s no mistaking when you’re landing headshots.

I’m just gonna play Clear Sky until they fix the FPS and A-Life issues. Game feels like a ghost town when not in a town/hub thing right up until an entire army of mutants or bandits appears right up your ass, and has a 50/50 chance of being a slide show when in a town.

Nintendo: Spending money to stop piracy, instead of making money by selling most of the things people are pirating (whether it be classic games not available for sale anywhere, or not porting Switch games to PC despite a huge demand for it).

It’s Swedish(?) for “blue shark.” I don’t know how, or why, but Ikea started selling stuffed blue sharks and they got incredibly popular in the trans community and is like their mascot.

Honestly, the only UE5 engine game I have played that has run like ass, is Stalker 2. And, I mean… They made this game while fighting a fucking war, so some slack has to be cut.
