This. The best you can do is encrypt your messages locally before sending. But then your email service provider still knows where you are, when and to whom you are sending the message to, and how long is it. And so does the recepient’s email provider and anyone in between. Best they can do is to promise not to keep that data. But it’s just that - a promise, which there is no way to verify.

It’s not the amount of services that’s the problem, the competition is aleays a good thing. It’s exclusives that are the problem. Almost noone is complaining about origin and uplay even thouhh it’s games are available via a launcher launching yet another launcher. But epic? Everyone hates epic precisely because of their exclusive deals taking content off of other platforms. And for streaming, I guess if some of the players worked out some deal to get their hands on exclusives from other platforms, people would stop complaining about it, even if they jack up the prices to ultimately end up with the same amount of revenue.

There’s literally no way they could do that without being sued into ashes.

Though if the panel is out there, so are the monitors using it. From the looks of it, ASUS ZenScreen 16" (MB16QHG), UPERFECT 156K01SG and numerous chinese portable monitors use the exact same panel. Not quite desktop monitors, but it’s at least something

Is it actually good for tablets now?

I remember having a good time with windows 8 on a tablet, that is, as long as all of my needs were fulfilled by metro apps. GNOME, one the other hand, I found to be less usable than even Win10 with display scaling.

This is bad UX:

• It’s disabled by default
• It has a different function (open link in new tab)
• It can be intercepted and disabled by the webpage
• Not as intuitive as a scrollbar

Tailscale is built on top of wireguard. It just manages all the hassle of configuring it. In my case it was a godsend as I have like 10 devices all roaming and scattered across multiple countries. It’d be a massive headache to type down IPs and whatnot every time one changes networks.

Regional prices are fair on one hand, but on the other, they open up opportunities for abuse leading platforms to implement region-locking, where you can suddenly find your library unavailable or even entire account inaccessible when noving between countries. That’s the case with steam and spotify, and a few others I can’t quite remember. But yeah, I feel your pain, I even felt bad for that one ps4 my friends used to share between them like that girl in 5 guys meme just because sony doesnt do regional pricing and the games were at times more expensive than their entire PC’s.
